Y'all means all. We are eager for the perspectives of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and otherwise marginalized writers.

We'd like to hear about you. In the body of your email, include an author bio for use in the event of acceptance--around 50-70 words--with your social media handle (especially if it's Twitter) so we can boost you!

Please use your best judgement with content warnings, especially in the cases of gore and eye horror. If we encounter depictions of eye trauma (on humans or animals, living or dead) without heads-up, it's an automatic rejection. Otherwise, we aren't too strict—but note we'll be including a "content guide" in the back of the anthology for curious readers.

We accept published and unpublished work, but if your piece has been published... tell us. Link it. Please.
Simultaneous submissions are allowed and encouraged.

Any font is fine ("readable" is all we ask), single-spaced. Each poem should appear on a new page.

Any font is fine ("readable" is all we ask), double-spaced. Try not to exceed 5000 words, give or take.

RESPONSES

We're eager, too. Please allow three weeks for response, after which we encourage a polite nudge.
(We try for two weeks, but our editor is one man!)

​Upon rejection, no sweat; submit again immediately if you want. We ask you only resubmit an edited piece if it's requested specifically.
